  1. Welcome to Matt and Joe's Cool Backgrounds for IBM PC compatibles and 
  2. the Macintosh.
  3.  
  4. These images are for use in your existing DTP (desktop publishing)
  5. applications.
  6.  
  7. If you have windows, then you may be able to view the "slide"
  8. show previews of the images.  
  9.  
  10. To install ---
  11.  
  12. WINDOWS Only
  13.  
  14. 1.    Start Windows.
  15.  
  16. 2.    In the Program Manager or File Manager, click on the "FILE" menu option.
  17.  
  18. 3.    Click on the "RUN" menu option.
  19.  
  20. 4.    In the "Command Line Box" type the following:
  21.         
  22.         "The CD-ROM Drive Letter":\INSTALL.EXE
  23.  
  24. This will create a program group icons in the Program Manager to launch
  25. the preview movies.  To preview the images in a category: double click on 
  26. the icon for that category, once the movie is open click on the play button
  27. (it looks like a triangle pointing to the right) to start the movie
  28.  
  29. The images on this CD-ROM are for use in 
  30. your desktop publishing applications.  They are provided TIFF format for easy importation to your desktop publishing program.
  31.  
  32. The images are organized by format in the "PC" and folder, and each image
  33. is available in both formats.  The 500+ images on this disc are sorted into 11 different categories.  To preview the images in a category, double click on the icon for that movie, then click the play button (it looks like a triangle pointing to the right).

  35. See the file "FILELIST.TXT" in the "PC" and "Windows" directory for a complete list 
  36. of the topics available, the image descriptive names and their DOS file names.
